Picturesque Waterfall in the Heart of Fergus, Ontario

This was my second attempt to capture a summer sunrise waterfall photo at Confederation Park in Fergus. A few days early I arrived with one very dead battery. I'm glad this day worked out better :)

Confederation Park is located on Scotland Street along the Grand River, near the corner of St. Andrew St. E. (Google Map)

Parking lot off Gartshore

For out-of-town visitors, there is a small parking lot located off Scotland Street on in with space for only 3 or 4 vehicles. The park has a few picnic tables in several locations. A great place for families looking for a picnic spot.

I was here before 5:30 am, I was expecting to see someone fishing at the base of the waterfall. It's a popular spot for fishing.

To capture these shots I needed to bring along a tripod and I was testing out a fancy new adapter for using my Nikon telephoto lens on my Panasonic GH5.

I also brought freshly charged batteries.

The faster lens helped capture the pinks of the sunrise and the slow-shutter waterfall effect. I was happy with how the shots worked out.

Here's a really early sunrise in Fergus, Ontario at Templin Gardens
